Do (don't) we need to point out for the uninitiated that "OOXML" is
not the XML used by OpenOffice.org, but the so-called "Office Open
XML" format presented to an undeserving world by the developers of
Word, aka "Office"?

Seeing how that format handles inline markup is enough to make your
hair go grey (if it hasn't already). In the short-medium term (that
is, until commercial software steps in to make the problem Mostly Go
Away), business prospects look good for XML consultants with strong stomachs.
This is not the same as OpenOffice XML, aka ODF.
