Hi All,
We're looking forward to seeing you at King's in London next week.
Here is a proposed agenda for our meeting. If any SIG members have
other suggestions, please send them on, and we will try to work them
into the agenda.
-----
Text & Graphics SIG Meeting, Saturday, 8 November, 14:00-15:30, Drury
Lane G04
* Introductions: Introduce ourselves, interests in text & graphics
issues,
particular projects/tools related to texts & graphics.
* Facsimile markup: Are people using it? How is it working? Discuss
possible
changes.
* Tools: Discuss available tools for image markup, working with images
in a
TEI context, etc. Should the SIG take on a formal role in tool
development, documentation, dissemination, etc.?
If SIG members would please send names/links/info about tools to the
list ahead of the meeting, we will compile a list to facilitate
awareness and discussion.
* Future directions: Goals and tasks for the SIG. Are we an informal
discussion group? Are there specific tasks we should take on? e.g.,
proposed revisions to facsimile markup; creation and maintenance of
supplementary documentation, examples, etc. for working with TEI texts
and
graphics.
