POSITION DESCRIPTION 
CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE


The Combined Federal Campaign is the annual fundraising drive conducted by Federal employees.  During the 2010 campaign, federal (civilian, postal and military) personnel pledged more than $282 million worldwide.  In Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts more than $1,166,330 was pledged.  The dollars raised benefit thousands of not-for-profit charities and the people they serve.

The Campaign Development Associate will assist the Campaign Director in a variety of campaign related functions including the preparation and distribution of campaign materials, maintenance of campaign files and database, coordination of volunteer trainings, committee meetings and campaign solicitations.


Job Requirements

•	Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or the liberal arts field.
•	Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•	Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•	General office skills.
•	Reliable personal transportation. 
•	Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Personal Qualifications

•	Ability to relate well with people.
•	Well-developed organizational skills.
•	Ability to work independently.

Specific Responsibilities

•	Assist with campaign functions in Providence and other locations throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
•	Develop thorough knowledge of the campaign.
•	Input information for campaign directory and assist Director in producing campaign materials.
•	Take minutes at monthly committee meetings and distribute copies to appropriate committee representatives.
•	Assist Director in preparing and distributing reports and training materials.
•	Organize and maintain campaign files.

•	Director of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts Combined Federal Campaign
