Hello all,
 
Do any college/university art galleries out there sponsor a student
organization?  I'm wondering if there are any models for this...I'm
trying to decide if it would be beneficial to put together a student
group that could help develop programming specifically for
students---film series, special lectures, day-trips to other museums,
book group, etc.
 
Frankly, I'm feeling a little isolated from the student population
here on our campus---I think we rely too heavily on advertising,
class assignments, etc. to bring students in "off the street" rather
than having specific personal contact that an organized group might
provide...
 
What are your experiences?
