ftp://ftp.muni.cz/pub/tex/local/cstug/thanh/pdftex/ doesn't respond
(I'll try from the office again, perhaps with more luck).

The german FAQ tells me to look at
http://www.tug.org/applications/pdftex/ -- but all things there I tried
are a little bit oldish.  Something must have changed since 1997 ;)
