Since my request for help a couple of weeks ago in getting Tei-Emacs
set up, I have been working with this mode extensively, and
appreciating all the little extra benefits that it provides.
There has only been one real annoyance, which occurs when I open up an
HTML file and try to edit it. At this point, a prompt that says
(Comments...................................................................)
appears in the bottom buffer, and for every keystroke I hit, the line
of periods keeps getting longer and longer, wrapping around into paragraphs. Then, occasionally,
without warning, comments brackets <--! comment--> start being
inserted all over the place in the text I am working on. It has gotten
to be such a pain that I have given up using Tei-Emacs for editing
HTML. No such problems with XML.
Has anyone else run into this kind of behavior, or are there any
suggestions as to what I might do to stop it?
Regards,
Chuck
