We have had a great response to next Saturday’s Fenway Light Ride. Ted is
mapping out a one-way route from McCoy Stadium to Fenway. It will be a bit
more direct than the circuit designed by Alan. We may miss some of the
scenery (there is some great riding between Providence and Boston) the
earlier group will get but we hope to make it up with quality bar time.
We will shoot for a 10am roll off.
There has also been quite a bit of interest in the 5pm Medieval Manor show
for after the ride. Tix are $45.00/person including dinner the meal-less
option is $34.50. Some non-cycling participants are coming to pick up their
riders and joining us for the show. The show is not suitable for children
those under 21 must have prior manager’s approval
There will be no secure bike parking on sight please arrange for pickup of
you bike as well. Secure parking for autos is available for a few bucks on
a first come first serve basis. Please arrange your own ride home.
Liz needs a nose count by Tuesday afternoon. Review ticket policy on the

Let me know if you are doing the ride, ride and show or just show. This
could be a great night out.

Liz and I went to the Gloucester Cross cyclocross race Saturday. What a
great time. One world champion, Danielle Pontoni, and multiple US national
champions, including NBW regular Maryanne Martinez, were racing. The pro
men and women put on excellent shows. The damp and cold only added to the
unique ‘cross experience. We enjoyed a great lunch at the Blackburn Tavern
in downtown Gloucester. I can recommend the Thumbs Up Pilsner and mussels
appetizer. At lunch we ran into and had a bit of a chat with Tim Johnson
multiple US champion and pro roadie and his wife Canadian Olympian Lyne
Bessette.
Come experience ‘cross racing in RI this December 4th.
