We are very happy to announce a new membership benefit for TEI
Consortium members. The TEI Consortium has negotiated a discount on
the oXygen XML editor for TEI members and subscribers. Any subscriber
or anyone affiliated with a member institution is eligible for a 20%
discount off the purchase price. This discount may be combined with
some other discounts, including the discounts currently advertised on
the oXygen website. With the discount, an academic license with the
maintenance pack for an individual user would cost 51.20 USD.
In order to take advantage of this discount, TEI members and
subscribers should send email to [log in to unmask] to obtain a
current discount code. Once you have the code choose the license(s)
you wish to purchase from http://www.oxygenxml.com/buy.html, and
click on the "buy" button in the appropriate column. On the next
screen enter the number of licenses you wish to purchase and enter
the code in the box labeled "Please enter your coupon code (if
available)".
The next release of the oXygen XML editor is due to be released
tomorrow. As before, it comes bundled with TEI DTDs and templates,
and now for the first time includes a copy of the current
"experimental" or "alpha" snapshot of P5 as found as in the "Released
files" section of Sourceforge.
This new benefit isn't the only reason to join the TEI Consortium,
but we hope it will help add an inducement. Consider joining and help
support the TEI as we continue to build and maintain the TEI
Guidelines.
Our thanks go to the developers of oXygen for their generosity in
making this discount available.
