Another (maybe uninformed) question about P5.

Reading the discussion of the use of <abbr> and <expan> in 6.5.5 it 
suggests the generic P5 janus mechanism of <choice> should be used to link 
two alternative readingds. But the discussion of these same elements in 
18.1.2 refers to the P4 usage of abbr and expan attributes in the 
respective elements. Is this a section that needs further editing, or does 
P5 suggest two alternative ways of marking up the same thing?
