Ah, now I'm catching on. Sorry for being so dense. I'm afraid I'd be
very little help in such a discussion, because I am far too much of
an XML-head to keep myself from saying "why not use XML?". Seems to
me much of chapter 3 of the RFC itself could be replaced with a
half-dozen lines of RelaxNG or W3C Schema.
