Happy new year!

I'd like to thank the wind and construction on the bike trail for making
this a memorable first commute of the year.  Add in the extra stuff I
was hauling, having taken home a lot of my stash of extra cloths at the 
end of the year, and I felt like a pack animal this morning.  It was
good to finally be back on the bike, having touched it only once over
break.

Following on Connie's lead, I managed to commute 159 days last year.
I'm most proud of the fact that I only put 240 more miles on my car than 
my bike last year!  The car mileage includes three family vacations
(ME, upstate NY, and NH).  I'm gunning to surpass the car with the bike
this year ;)
