Hi all,
We are relieved (and yes, pleased too :-) to announce our first release of
PhiloMine2 in preparation for our poster session at Digital Humanities
2008 later this month in Oulu Finalnd. This is a completely rewritten
text mining and machine learning package for our primary search and
analysis package, PhiloLogic. Using a WWW interface (we recommend
Firefox), the user can frame a wide variety of text mining experiments
using numerous features and parameters. Our release site:
http://code.google.com/p/philomine/
has links to our PhiloMine tour (Google presentation), along with
downloads, installation instructions, and other useful files. PhiloMine
is a Free Software implementation designed to support research and
development activities at the ARTFL Project and the Digital Library
Development Center, developed with the generous support of the Provost's
Program for Academic Technology Innovation (ATI) at the University of Chicago. We
hope that it may be of use to you. Please don't hesitate to contact us at
support*ta*philologic*tod*uchicago*tod*edu (you know what to do with this)
and include "PhiloMine" in the subject and/or body of your e-mail.
Best regards,
