This is a problem that I come across from time to time, and I guess it has
been an issue on the list before.
How do you handle long deletions when you encode primary sources material,
for instance two following paragraphs that are deleted in a single
operation? One might do something like this:
<p><del>...</del></p><p><del>...</del></p>
But I really want it to be encoded like this (which is not valid):
<del><p>...</p><p>...</p></del>
That do you do?
