Dear all,

We are carrying on with gathering examples from the community to
facilitate the proposal on genetic editions. If you have something up
your sleeve, please to not hesitate to contact one of us or to follow
the link from the previous posting (see below)!

We are looking forward to your contributions - many thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Malte

Dear all,

As communicated the other day, we (on behalf of the MS SIG) are
currently preparing a proposal for a new chapter and possibly a new
module for the TEI Guidelines devoted to the encoding of genetic
editions. For this, we are looking for contributions from the community
and asking for examples from your experience and current work,
highlighting various aspects of genetic encoding. Description of
problems and issues are particularly welcome. The intention is, to use
this collection of pratical expertise in order to create a draft
document which will then be discussed in a workshop in Paris in May, for
which we will give full details soon.

For your contribution, please point your browser to:

http://web.me.com/paolodiorio/TEI/Home.html

and use "genetic" and "editions" as log-in and password. Click on the
"All Examples" link and then choose the one of the six categories that
fits best to your example. For entering your data, add a comment and
ideally upload an image illustrating the features you are describing.
You will find a sample of what we mean under "Textual alteration" and
its first comment.

We are looking forward to many examples to make this a success, so
please do not hesitate to contribute! We will be very grateful if you
can do it by 10th of March.

All the best and many thanks for your contribution,
Elena, Fotis, Paolo and Malte
