Speaking in ignorance, as usual...
Is there any body of practice in the application of TEI to
early modern bibliography? As there is, for example, in
the application of MARC and related standards? 'Publisher'
is rather anachronistic in that context: one is usually
concerned with printers and booksellers (and sometimes other
agencies), none of which exactly correspond with a modern
publisher. If there is an established way of dealing with
this, it would seem to apply to the modern situation too;
or does everyone do free text for this?
