Greetings,
In our work on Ibsen's writings we sometime list sources in our
teiHeader, such as printed editions and MSS that have been consulted in
the projects work on producing an edited text of Ibsen. In our partly
privately modified TEI P4 (developed before the MS-parts of P5 were
fixed) we have made some decisions that are easy to change and some that
leave me wondering. In this case we have an MS that has been used for
typesetting the first edition of a work. We have used encoding like this:
<msDesc type="printerscopy">etc</msDesc> and (for reasons I am not sure
about now) an element containing a #PCDATA version in Norwegian:
<matDesc>Trykkmanuskript, egenhendig</matDesc>
My question is, how could this information, that the MS in question was
used for typesetting, be encoded in a description of an MS? I have
search through the <msDesc> and its children but not found any element
or attribute that can be used unless I rely on heavy tag-misuse.
Any suggestions?
