Dear all,
This year's TEI Conference and Members' Meeting is taking place at Texas
A&M in November. As in previous years, the Special Interest Groups are
invited to host a meeting as part of the conference's academic program.
And we are again happy to organize such a meeting for the Manuscript
SIG. But we would like to suggest a new format. This was discussed at
the Würzburg meeting last year where many people expressed the
preference of having short presentations and consequent discussion
instead of the traditional "business meeting" format.
We therefore look forward to your proposals under the theme "Encoding
Problems in Manuscript Studies". We envisage presentations of not more
than 10 minutes and sessions with enough ample time for feedback.
Ideally, these presentations and the subsequent discussion shall help to
improve the understanding of manuscript encoding in general or the
TEI-Guidelines in particular. Please send your abstract of about 250
words until July 15th to [log in to unmask], so that we can
prepare the meeting.
All the best
Elena & Malte
