To get a copy of the first installment of the TEI tutorial, send
a note to LISTSERV@UICVM (or [log in to unmask], if you are
on the Internet and not on Bitnet), containing the single line
get edj1 memo tei-l
To get the second tutorial, send a note containing the single line
get edj2 memo tei-l
(This is the standard method for fetching files from a listserv
server -- consult the Listserv documentation or a local guru for
further details. The best way to get the documentation is to
send Listserv a note containing the single line
help
which will elicit some simple instructions on how to find out
what documents are available and how to fetch them.)
To find out what files are available, send the line
get tei-l filelist
The list of available files also includes complete logs of the
list's discussion, month by month. Since the first tutorial
appeared in August, you could also retrieve it with the command
get tei-l log9008
N.B. The file names are often TEI document numbers, which means they
will seldom be self-explanatory. I try to keep explanatory comments
nearby but I sometimes get behind-hand.
