[Not much use to non-European readers of this list, but following press
release may still be worth noting]
"As partof Yard Software Systems drive to increase the awareness of
SGML, we are conducting a series of free seminars in London, Paris and
Brussels..."
Seminars last about 1.5 hours and cover the basics of SGML.
They are given by Martin Bryan, author of `SGML: an authors guide'.
Dates are: London Oct 2, Nov 28; Brussels 6 and 7 Oct; Paris 8 Oct.
Yard also organise full training courses at more usual commercial
rates.
They are still willing to make MARKIT, their SGML parser, available
under an academic licence, but have had to introduce a charge to cover
distribution costs. For the MS/DOS executable version of the parser and
a full manual they are now charging 150 pounds.
