In marking up a collection of poetry by Amy Levy, I came across two oddities
that I don't know how to handle--any suggestion will be gratefully accepted.
1) One of her poems has a bar of music beneath the title. As I have a tin
ear, I'm not sure just how the music is meant to accompany the verse, since
there isn't enough music to cover even one of the stanzas. Anyway, I looked
through P3 for some kind of guidelines for musical notation, but don't find
any. Any suggestions?
2) One of her poems has 14 four-line stanzas. After the sixth stanza, there
is a line of asterisks dividing it from the seventh. There is a clear
difference in tone between the two groupings, sort of like a sonnet's sestet
and octet, but with stanzas instead of lines. I would like to note this
grouping somehow--would I use lg1 and lg2 to mark the stanzas and larger
grouping?
