This is what gets me.  The same thing was said about Siouxsie trying to be
more like Dolores from the Cranberries and that irritated me too.  Really, can
you see Sioux saying "I've just got to be more like that singer from
Garbage/The Cranberries, she is just so cool!"  I just can't picture it.  I
never viewed Sioux as a follower, rather the one to be followed.
