A number of people have discussed here using HTML5 microdata when converting TEI
to HTML (and Sebastian added a small microdata module to the XSLT stylesheets).
We're thinking about adding some microdata using the schema.org vocabularies to
one of our projects, for things like author/recipient/date of documents. The
conversions are pretty straightforward, so the only unknown is whether it's
really worth doing--are any of the search engines or harvesters out there going
to use it?
In principle Google will (cf.
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2650907?hl=en). Just wondering
whether anyone out there has been leveraging your TEI markup to create microdata
and seen any difference in the way your resulting web pages are
searched/displayed by Google or others.
