(Sorry, this one I also neglected to send to the list...)

Yeah, as I just mentioned in an email that probably crossed by
yours, @calendar is actually presently under xs:token in the schema
(it is as data.enumerated in the DTD (presumably since it is also
enumerated), but it is just CDATA there).

Hmmm ... what version of what schema are you using? It's a
full-fledged data.enumerated (= data.name = xsd:Name) in the current
development sources.

This is for P5; not sure how I can find out a "version". The RelaxNG schema was generated from ODD source 2007-10-15T02:20:05Z  and W3C Schema on 2007-10-15T02:23:08Z.  I just used Roma with the minimum recommended customization, with just the figures module added.

No, don't have any ODD, sorry...

OK, I hope to try to whip one up in the near future. Is there
somewhere (other than your Schematron code) where I can find the
definition of a Baha'i date? Wikipedia a good place?

Yes, Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bah%C3%A1'%C3%AD_calendar looks pretty good...

YAXLL... Yet another XML language to learn... :)

Yes, but you already know a jolly good portion of this one -- an ODD
is a TEI document with a dozen or so special-purpose schema-building
elements. :-)

That's good to know...
