Sorry, but I have to disagree. I have regular contacts with L1 Greek
speakers, and I know for a fact that they use the vocative Φίλιππε (as it
happens, one of them is called Φίλιππος). And they aren't literally minded
nor conservative people, but just a bunch of twenty-to-thirty-something
inhabitants of Lesbos (who regularly go to Athens).
