National Bike Challenge - could use some more help

All,

I happened to be looking at some stats on the National Bike Challenge
website. We have 10 valiant riders representing Brown University so far
and we are placed #146 out of 4,494 workplaces that have logged any
points. One of the great things about this challenge is EVERYONE can
provide a significant boost to our score. You get 21 points, every time
you get out on your bike and ride just 1 mile! Consistency is what this
is all about. Even with a little effort, you can make a big difference. [...]

I'm sorry, I know this note I forwarded is light on details, it's
all I got from the colleague that sent it to me.

However, our intrepid Pat Falcon sleuthed out these clues:

... I did find more at www.ripr.org/policy-and-pinot, which also doesn't
> specify the location of the event, but since it is held in conjunction with
> the "Providence Athenaeum", I'm betting it's there. ;-) [...]

FYI ...

> > NEWSROOM NOTES
> >
> >
> > Providence is a city that's trying to attract young people as a place
to live and work. And for many young professionals, quality of life is
paramount. A big trend in cities across the U.S. is to lure these young
workers by creating more bicycle-friendly roads and spaces. Providence is
looking to do the same.
> >
> > Join us for our next Policy & Pinot next week, April 16th at 5:30pm
when environmental reporter Bradley Campbell talks with city planners and
bicycle enthusiasts about the future [...]

Okay, So first act of arm twisting is to get everyone to set up an
Endomondo account (if you don't have one already) and start logging your
commuting miles for the RIBike Team in the National Bike Challenge this
year.
http://www.endomondo.com/teams/pYJLZs66tyw
that is the direct link to the team page.

I did a test run and yes, if you use something else to keep track of your
commute (Strava for example) you can run them all at the same time, so no
need to do much more than hit go as you leave your destination, let the app
report it [...]

Hi, all.

Actual Spring will be here soon (right??), and we're hoping to pump a
little fresh 'oomph' into the Bike to Brown group. We've asked one of our
longest-running and most-active members, Geoff Williams, to pick up the
leader position, but we know he'd love some help. If you're feeling spunky
and want to help Geoff build some new Bike to Brown projects or presence,
send him a note at Geoffrey_Williams@brown.edu. Other than that, nothing's
changing, and there's no need to update your subscription to the list or
anything. [...]
