STATLG-L has been in continuous existence since 1989. Founded by Kristofer Munn, then a student at SUNY Stony Brook, it settled in at Brown University when Ann Mandi rescued it from near-oblivion in the early 1990s. Neal Traven replaced Ann as listowner in about 1993, and has held that post ever since. STATLG-L is historically associated with the Original Bitnet Fantasy Baseball League (OBFLB), which conducts league business on a separate list.
