AEM Call for Papers
In response to growing national concerns about patient safety and medical
error, Academic Emergency Medicine is issuing a call papers related to
Error in Emergency Medicine. Authors are invited to submit original works
regarding the definition, identification, quantification, classification, or
prevention of emergency medicine error.
Accepted manuscripts will be published in fall, 2000 , along with consensus
documents developed at a conference being sponsored by AEM on Emergency
Medicine Errors (details on the SAEM home page).
Submitted papers must be received at the AEM editorial office by May 23,
2000. Alternatively, submissions can be delivered to the AEM booth or the
AEM editors at the SAEM annual meeting in San Francisco. An electronic
version, along with two hard copies ( one blinded ) are required for each
submission. Submissions will undergo expedited review, and decisions will
be made by June 30, 2000. Please see the AEM Instructions for Authors
(available on the AEM home page) for further guidance.
