The pediatric age cut off in the country is 12 years. although in some rare
cases this limit is extended for those with chronic primary pediatric
I am not quite sure if this is based on a cultural difference or due to the
lack of pediatricians to provide care to the broader range of "children".
From my perspective, I definitely think this age range reduces the scope of
pathology seen and so some of the excitement of our field.
