On a related subject, what about decorations and other odd
information, like sale price, on title pages? I know that full
treatment of fancy title pages is intentionally omitted in
TEI, but it's pesky not to be able to include a simple

it feels like discarding information, which always makes me
queasy. Or I could muck about with the DTD, but these things
are so common in older printed texts that changing the DTD
to accommodate them also feels wrong.
So, what is common practice?
