Verdurian borrowed heavily from Romance languages (especially French)
and Russian (example: uazo = bird, slushir = listen), and occasional
words from Esperanto (kio = what), Greek (cuon = dog), and others.
Though most of those words were subsequently reanalysed as having come
from Cadhinor through regular sound change ;) e.g. uazo < URADUS,
slushir < CELUSCIR.
