KH> Does anyone have a suggestion for how to indicate nonfiling
KH> characters (as they're called in MARC) in TEI <title>s?
KH> <title><span type="nonfiling">The </span>Wizard of Oz</title>
FL> [Points out that it's <seg>, not <span>.]
Seems quite reasonable.
CT> <title>The Wizard of Oz</title>
CT> <title type="filing">Wizard of Oz</title>
Has the (mild) disadvantage of verbosity. Has the major advantages of
easy processing, and that multiple filing systems could be catered
So, Kevin, what (if anything) did you decide? How well is it working?
Other possibilities include:
* Reverse the semantics of <seg>, so that it encloses the filing
<title>The <seg type="filing">Wizard of Oz</seg></title>
* Adding <title> to the 'name' class, and then use the reg=
* Nest 'em:
<title>The <title type="filing">Wizard of Oz</title></title>
* Tag-abusing <index> into service.
