We can also quote a well-known specimen from a science fiction
classic, _Double Star_ by Robert A. Heinlein (1959). In the 5th chapter
the hero quickly sums up a "Martian adoption ceremony":
"I reached the ramp leading down into the inner nest and started on down.
* * * * * * * * * *
That line of asterisks represents the adoption ceremony. Why?
Because it is limited to members of the Kkkah nest. It is a family matter."
No doubt here about the author's intention :-)
