I think I have to agree with Edward here. While it's safe to presume
Lou is correct, corresp= was originally intended for things like
translation equivalents, TEI left the door open to more general uses,
and lo and behold ...
That said, I think using corresp= to make semi-explicit which
publisher goes with which <pubPlace> (or whatever the original
problem was) is a hack that P4 is forcing upon you, and we should
improve the situation somehow in P5, and the suggestions Andreas made
in the original post seem like an excellent starting place to me.
