As it stands, TEI P5 allows as global attributes three of the four
standard attributes in the XML namespace: xml:id, xml:base, and
xml:lang. (Cf. http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace) It doesn't
declare the other one, however: xml:space.
I'd like to suggest that it be added, unless there's a good reason I'm
overlooking for leaving it out.
It's not a huge thing, but it allows one a bit more control over
serialization of output XML.
