Actually I think what Tone is asking about is something that (to my eye
also) seems like a quirk in the current P5 content model for <div>.
This differs both from P4 and from the content model for numbered div's.
Valid in P5:
Invalid in P5 (but not in P4):
<pb/> <!-- pb is not allowed here -->
This is because part of the current declaration of <div1> in P5 allows
the following as the content of a <div1>:
( ( div2 | divGen ), model.global* )+
in other words, one or more sequences of <div> or <divGen> optionally
followed by anything in the model.global class, which includes <pb>.
But the equivalent part of the declaration of <div> is only
( div | divGen )+
i.e., one or more instances of <div> or <divGen> alone.
So the question would be, is this intentional, and if so, why the
