Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine
The Department of Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center invites
applications for the position of Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Candidates should be board-certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and
have leadership experience and a record of scholarship.
Responsibilities will include building a strong academic Division of
Pediatric Emergency Medicine and preparing for relocation of personnel and
resources into a dedicated 18-bed pediatric emergency department that is
currently under construction and is located adjacent to the Duke
University Hospital adult emergency department and the Duke Children’s
Health Center.
The Department of Pediatrics at Duke has a long history of excellence in
patient care, graduate and undergraduate medical education, and clinical
and laboratory research and is in a period of significant growth. The
successful candidate will benefit from resources and a stimulating,
collaborative environment within the School of Medicine, the Department of
Pediatrics, the Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of
Surgery, and across the Duke campus.
