The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, offers a one-year
non-accredited clinical fellowship program in pediatric emergency medicine,
in addition to our accredited academic fellowship program. Clinical
fellows tend to be pediatricians from countries that do not offer PEM
fellowship opportunities, adult emergency physicians who desire an additional year of pediatric training, or Canadian pediatricians who plan on providing emergency care as part of their practice.
We are currently undertaking an evaluation of our clinical fellowship
program and are interesting in knowing whether there are any other
institutions in Canada, the US, or elsewhere that offer one- or two-year clinical
pediatric emergency medicine training opportunities. We are especially interested in hearing from other programs that offer opportunities to international medical graduates. We would appreciate
hearing from you if your institution offers such a program, or if you have
knowledge of any institutions offering such a program.
