I often take the Washington County bike path from Park Street Cranston all
the way down to Coventry / West Warwick. I agree that a bike path on the
other side of 95 would be handy.
What I do is come up Eddy instead of Allens; then I merge with Broad, then
right onto Wentworth
Left into the park
Circle around the park and come out on Park Avenue
Right on Park Street. Park is busy but negotiable.
Go about 2.5 miles? My landmark is a great big apartment complex off of Park
somewhere that dominates the skyline right before the bike path, and
Cranston Welding supply (on the right, at the bike path.) I get on the path
there and ride all the way down to Coventry. It's a very pleasant ride and not
too bad people-wise.
You can come off the path at Tollgate road - I forget what route that is -
115? - come up, cross route 2 (on foot - there is a crosswalk) and then down
the hill into Warwick.
