So how does one encode "Asia"? Seems like it would be a <bloc>,
perhaps <bloc type="continent">. Great. But now how about "Australia"
or "Antarctica"? The description for <bloc> says "contains the name
of a geo-political unit consisting of two or more nation states or
countries.". Neither Australia nor Antarctica has two or more
countries, but it would be nice to be able to encode them as
<bloc> to be parallel with "Europe" and "South America". While one
could resort to <name type="continent"> for all of them, using the
more special-purpose <bloc> seems to be licensed by the Guidelines in
the 2nd to last example of 220.127.116.11 (search for "LSEA1" in chapter
 Admittedly by a physical geographer's definition of the word
"continent", the continent Australia includes several other
countries like Tasmania and New Guinea. But the common lay
definition excludes them.
