The NZETC has just launched He Pātaka Kupu Ture / Legal Māori Archive, a
collection of Māori (xml:lang="mi") used in a legal context.
The most interesting thing to readers of this list is likely to be the
preservation of non-unicode "WH"/"wh" ligatures as printed in the original:
the tei for this is available at
Some efforts have been taken to ensure that cut'n'paste in browsers
automagically converts the ligatures to normalised (modern) orthography
and that browsers don't preferentially break lines at the ligatures.
The corpus contains a number of texts which are relevant to contemporary
New Zealand political and legal issues, so we're hoping for a high level
of public interest.
