Yes, I used Font Creator to make the Omina font, which is a syllabary. Isn't 
it more straightforward to map to an English keyboard? (I'm assuming that's 
what you have). Of course this does mean that you'll end up with some weird 
correspondences (for example the Omina symbol for "du" is got by hitting 'w' 
on the keyboard). But you should be able to save your font and install it a
