because the TEI schema does not allow @xsi:schemaLocation as an attribute on <TEI>.
If I _do_ define it, to make RELAXNG happy, then XSD complains that I must NOT
define it. Sigh. I have wasted hours of my short life on that.

because of the above self-referentiality. the schema is checking the XML, but
you have to change the XML to check it. It seems (to me) that the information
should be external to the XML structure.
