Pediatric Emergency Medicine Position - Chicago
The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of
Cook County in Chicago (formerly Cook County Hospital) is recruiting a full-
time BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join a staff of 4 full-time
and 4 part-time physicians.
The 19 bed Pediatric ER is located within the comprehensive emergency
medicine suite of Stroger Hospital. The emergency medicine suite includes a
separate Adult Emergency Medicine Department, the Cook County Trauma
Unit, a Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma ER and a dedicated emergency

nationally recognized public hospital. The new Stroger Hospital of Cook
County building has been in operation for 7 years and offers a full array of
pediatric and adult inpatient and outpatient clinical services.
Responsibilities of attending physicians in the Pediatric ER include supervision
of pediatric, emergency medicine and family practice residents, direct patient
care, formal teaching lectures and administrative activities.

for new faculty are available through neighboring Rush University Medical
Center or Rosalind Franklin University/Chicago Medical School. Stroger
