I know it is very bad to write out of topic, especially when you know it is
and you still do it, but….
The world is a village, all the more so with Internet and international
forums. We in Belgium are in a way pivotal, as a hinge, between the German
and the Latin worlds. I speak French, but I manage in Dutch (our main
national language) and English too. I never saw of heard a word of Norvegian
in my life. When I read « skrev » as above I first think of some language
from Star Wars or the like, but after less than half a second, I am
delighted to understand « wrote » because it is « schreef » in Dutch (and I
can’t retain myself to share my pleasure here). And after all it is the same
in French with « écrit » because if you go back far enough in the past, it
would spell « escrit » as « skrev », « schreef ». (« Write » is Anglo-Saxon.)
I hope that you pardon me, Dominique.
