Apologies in advance for a bit of a cross-list question. It's more
Oxygen and Java-related, but in a TEI context. I'm wondering if there
are any TEI experts who can help me out.
The context: I am setting up a XML editing environment in Oxygen Author
and would like to offer (open-ended) suggestion lists for attribute
values. Since our TEI customization is still TEI P4-based, there's no
way to express open-ended lists of attribute values in a DTD (IIRC,
attribute value lists in a DTD are always exhaustive, hence closed).
Instead, when entering a new attribute (say, @reg -- I know, this is
still P4), I would rather be able to have Oxygen scan other TEI
documents, collect unique values for other @reg attributes, and present
these values as suggestions for the new @reg attribute. Radu Coravu from
Oxygen provided me with skeleton Java code for a SchemaManagerFilter
class. Unfortunately, I have no operational Java knowledge at all, but
maybe others on this list have implemented such a feature already?
The full story: <http://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/post18375.html>.
The question: is there anyone out there who has useful experience with
creating auto-suggestion lists via Java extensions to Oxygen Author, and
would like to help me?
Any help much appreciated,
