We are having trouble here in New Mexico getting through with policies and procedures regarding radiation and wearing lead aprons for the mini C-arm. The literature I checked does not require any of that. It is cumbersome, space consuming and overall not felt to be necessary.
In addition, some of our residents want to use it on a daily basis for various procedures. What are your feelings about that?
How have your hospitals/institutions and State related agencies dealt with the radiation and this procedure and the issues mentioned above?
I would be more than grateful for some feedback. I had a similar e-mail many months ago and only got answers from the ones that had the same questions. How did you solve this at your institutions? I'd be more than grateful for some feedback.
