The Children's Hospital of Michigan PEM fellowship program has an unexpected fellowship opening for either a 1st year EM graduate or a 2nd year PEM fellow beginning in July of 2013.
We are an academic, urban, high-acuity pediatric emergency department with an annual volume of over 90,000 visits. We are a level-1 pediatric trauma center, a regional burn center and have a very busy poison control center. Along with our diverse patient population and pathology, our fellows are offered the opportunity to grow professionally because of a comprehensive curriculum. We have a robust quality improvement curriculum allowing each fellow to work on at least one QI project. Our fellows all participate in a structured ultrasound curriculum, work on their own research project and have significant opportunity to improve their teaching skills.
The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Michigan has 4 fellows per year with a total of 12 fellows.
