B - Regarding the encoding of the biblical reference itself, I use this
sort of thing, because I want to distinguish between book, chapter and
verse very clearly:
What would the collective wisdom recommend? :)
As Laurent points out, some of the collective wisdom would now recommend
@unit rather than @type
But I am puzzled: does this reference appear in your source as "Biblia
Luc 18 3"? or are you adding that information to a quote which doesn't
have any associated reference?
Just to be awkward though I'm going to recommend something completely
<ref cRef="Luc 18.3">[actual text of the reference]</ref>
<ptr cRef="Luc 18.3"/> if there is no associated text
with an associated <cRefPattern> in your header to decompose the cRef
value into its component parts.
