Job Description: Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Medical Director Pediatric Emergency Department Opportunity
Children’s Acute Care (CAC) and the Pediatric Emergency Department (PED) of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center (CFVMC) in Fayetteville, North Carolina are seeking a full-time Medical Director to join our Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division.
This opportunity places strong emphasis on clinical services and professional development. Responsibilities include management and direct coverage and double-coverage management of the PED’s “Urgent Track” together with our Pediatric Emergency Medicine associates. The opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a compensation package which includes a competitive salary with bonus opportunities, a benefits menu package, 401K, malpractice insurance and relocation assistance.
CAC is looking for seasoned Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians and Board Certified Pediatricians with unscheduled and / or urgent care experience.
CFVMC is a beautiful 765 bed acute-care, not-for-profit medical system, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina serving Cumberland County and surrounding areas. Children come first at CFVMC’s PED, and that is reflected in everything from our state of the art facility to the decor and our specially trained medical staff. Children and parents are made to feel at ease surrounded by colorful animal tracks, duck’s feet, bear paw and deer foot prints in our 17-bed private-room Department. The PED is the busiest in the region and one of busiest in the state, seeing approximately 40,000 visits per year, and the volume continues to expand annually. The Children’s Inpatient Center includes a 24-bed Pediatric Inpatient Department (including a 16-bed Telemetry Unit) and a 7-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) staffed by a dedicated Hospitalist and Intensivist Service.
Fayetteville, North Carolina is situated in the coastal plain and Sandhills section of North Carolina, sixty miles south of Raleigh, the state capitol. It is known for its mild winters and has many fine golf courses including the famed Pinehurst No.2. State highways link it to some of the most beautiful beaches along the southeast coast and to breathtaking mountain views in the west, and Interstate-95, a major north-south corridor, provides access to metropolitan centers such as Washington, DC, and to major vacation, historical and tourist destinations along the entire Eastern Seaboard.
