Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California are seeking 1 additional academic physician to join our staff in the Division of Emergency and Transport Medicine. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A STRONG RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC INTEREST. The Emergency Department sees a large volume of patients suffering from rare to common diseases and a vast spectrum of traumatic injuries. The attending staff is a young, energetic group of physicians dedicated to the teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, including 9 rotating programs, and PEM fellows.
CHLA has a 347 bed tertiary state of the art acute care and referral center. The ED is a designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, and PCCC, in conjunction with a PEDS Urgent Care Clinic, and sees approximately 70,000 patients annually. The Emergency Transport Program arranges for and transports 3,000 patients, including 1,500 team transports, annually.
